Ocean Classroom Foundation works with a variety of schools, youth groups, museums, and community organizations from across North America. We work closely with each institutional partner to design a unique sailing itinerary and curriculum to accommodate their particular educational needs and objectives.
Custom programs are available for sixth-graders through adults, and vary in length from a day-sail to a full term. Students are enriched by a holistic growth experience that challenges them mentally, physically, and emotionally while they develop greater personal and environmental awareness. All programs offer integrated expeditionary learning in humanities and sciences, and well as character, leadership development and teamwork. Program themes can include marine science and oceanography, maritime history, maritime literature, marine applied mathematics, and navigation.
Custom programs are available throughout the year in the Caribbean (winter), Northern New England (summer), Southern New England/Mid-Atlantic states (spring and fall).
Fees are set depending on length and nature of the program, based on $4,000 per day for 20 students.
